As we are a software-company that mainly employs computer scientists and software-engineers it is quite evident that in the past years we have also accumulated substantial knowledge and experience in the field of databases. Databases are used in nearly every single project of WebDynamite, sometimes merely as data storages, but also for the illustration of business logic and business-processes.

We are not bound to a certain type of database and therefore posses know-how about almost every database management system (DBMS). Our special competence lies with all Open Source databases (Postgres, mySQL, …), Microsoft SQL-Servers and Oracle databases , which we can also program data base intimately using Oracle Forms and PL/SQL.

To assure the swift development of intranet-applications, WebDynamite has implemented a Back Office Framework that covers the recurring demands (such as user- and group-administration, the granting of rights, etc.) in intranet-projects and consequently helps to save costs in new projects. The Back Office Framework has been developed in Java (J2EE) and can use any underlying application server and data base. As an example it is used in a big Sony-installation.
